West Hallam's Well Dressing Festival returns this year with entertainments for the whole family held across the village on Saturday July 14th.
Some of the attractions alongside the decorated wells will include an arts market, a magic show, face painting, street dancing, a taekwondo demonstration and a whole variety of live music.
This year is the 350th anniversary of local benefactor Reverend John Scargill. To mark the occasion there will be a special performance of a celebratory work by Derbyshire’s own Poet Laureate Matt Black.
The amazing Scarecrow Trail also makes a welcome return with over a hundred novel scarecrow creations all over the village.
Some roads will be closed for the duration of Saturday's events from 1.30pm to 5pm, but parking is available at Scargill School.
The decorated wells and the scarecrow trail will be on display until Friday, July 20th.
