West Hallam Rural and Walking Society is a small, friendly group of people who enjoy a monthly walk, usually on the first Sunday of each month.

They meet at 10am in the lower car park at The Dales. Walks are generally between around 3 and 5 miles (sometimes local and sometimes a short drive away) and are mainly fairly easy going and dog friendly, and end with a visit to a pub. Each year there is also a walking weekend (Friday to Sunday) with a few non-walkers taking in local places of interest or shops!
